Hi, there! I’m Tipper Allen, and guess what? It’s my turn to tell a story! Momma is helping me by letting me use her pictures as immustrations. You know, to immustrate the story with pictures. All the best books have immustrations for you to look at if you can’t read yet.
So anyway, here’s my story.
Model Cat
There was once a cat who was more beautiful than all other cats in the world. His fur wasn’t too long or too short, and it was perfectly white. He looked like an angel, and his name was Nipper.
But Nipper was sad, because he lived in the wilderness and there was nobody to appreciate his beauty. All the other cats were jealous, and the other animals thought he looked odd.
“You don’t have a mask,” said the raccoon. “You don’t have stripes on your tail, or fingers to hold things while you wash them.”
“You don’t have wings,” said the bat.
“Where are your hooves, poor thing?” the deer asked.
Then, one day, Tipper Nipper saw a thing that a beetle told him was called a house.
“Giants who squash you live there,” said the beetle. “But they love big furry animals like you.”
So Nipper went in and found a very soft place to sleep until a giant found him and woke him up.
“Oh!” cried the giant. “You are the most beautiful, splendiferous creature that ever I have seen in my whole entire life! Please live with me and let me look upon you every single day!”
“I will,” said Nipper, “if you will spread my likeness far and wide and tell me what the other giants think of me.”
“I want nothing more in life,” said the giant, “than to take pictures of you like one of those French girls and send them to friends and strangers through the magic of the interwebs!”
So Nipper lived with the giant and let her take pictures and share them, and they both lived happily ever after.
THE END
A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: Does your hooman take pictures of you and share them? If not, why not?
