HELLO! My name is CHICKIE!
I’ve been very busy, catting all over the house like a very good girl.
First, Tipper and I found a Dangerous Thing on the floor, so I killed it. It tasted horrible! I’m so glad Mommy didn’t bite it by mistake!

Then I kept close track of a bug on the ceiling. It was a coward and didn’t come down, so I pertected Mommy from that, even though I didn’t catch it.

Mommy says her first cat, Tiffany, was a bird catcher. So I caught some birds, too!

And then I caught a whole buncha birds!

It takes a lot of work to keep Mommy safe! Good thing I have a sidekick.
Tipper: A what?
A partner. I don’t know what a 6 is, but Mommy says Tipper and I have each other’s.

A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: Do you have a partner? Does your partner have your 6?

January 23, 2021 at 5:33pmUm…translation please? What does a ‘six’ mean, apart from the obvious??? And yes, you have been a very helpful girl, Chickie!

January 24, 2021 at 9:23amI see you’re not an NCIS fan. /grin/ “Got your six, boss!” means I’ve got your back; I’m looking out for you; the way you’re facing is 12, and I’ve got your 6.

January 24, 2021 at 3:34pmUm…no! and thank you! That makes sense once it’s explained. Weird though. ‘I’ve got your back’ is jargon while ‘got your 6’ is jargon /of/ jargon?!?
