Tipper’s Wonderful Week #Caturday #TipperAndChickie #BreastCancer

Hi, there! I’m Tipper Allen, and guess what! Momma is still letting us play with the tissue paper and the red bow ribbon from Christmas! When one of my hooman sisters come to visit, Momma says, “This looks like trash, but it’s really cat toys.” And my sisters, who also live with cats, say, “I completely understand.”

Oh! Momma wants to say something.

I got an intake interview call from the hospital. A very nice woman asked me questions about my medical history and my family medical history. I had to go to the surgery center yesterday to have blood drawn and an EKG done and what-not. I have a problem with my medications: I have no brand loyalty for vitamins and calcium+D supplements, so every time I give my medications list, those change, and it confuses the computer.

ANYWAY, on Monday, I go get a COVID test and, if all is well with everything else, on Thursday, January 13, 2022, I get my mastectomy. Or, as #4 Daughter, the amazing Sara Marian, put it: Cancer-B-Gone. Yay!!

Back to you, Tipper.

Momma

I don’t know what any of that means, but Momma said she was walking people through “this whole thing” so, if they were going to do it, too, they’d know what to expect.

So Chickie and I have been romping with the tissue paper and I’ve been playing with the red ribbon. Also, sometimes Momma stretches out on the couch, and I come and sit on her belly. I think she must really REALLY like it, because when I use her belly to launch myself onto the back of the couch, she makes a sound like she’s hurt.

Chickie crawled into a big, long box Momma left on the floor for us to play with, and #4 Hooman Sister crawled in after her.

Momma said #4 Hooman Daughter used to crawl into places after the cats and dogs when she was little, so this made Momma laugh and laugh.

I took a good nap, and Momma took a picture of me.

I dreamed Momma said, “Awww, are you using your best foot for a pillow?”

Maybe I didn’t dream it?

Thanks for the update, Tipper. Please tell your Mum that all of us have our fingers and toes crossed for her Cancer-Be-Gone op. She’ll feel pretty lousy for a while so when she comes home, you and Chickie will have to work extra hard to make her laugh. But no jumping on her tummy! She’ll be your kitten for a while, so be gentle.
Oh! p.s. can you also tell #4 daughter that I totally understand the box thing. My Offspring spent a lot of happy time building box forts all over the lounge room. Of course that was a while ago…;)

Tipper LOVES kittens, so I’ll be in good paws with him. I’ll probably have to bribe Chickie with treats, but that’s doable. 😀

-grin- between #4 and Tipper, and Chickie, I think you’ll be in safe hands. Make sure you get lots of hugs and cuddles for the next few days because waiting is often the worst part of any treatment. Here’s one to keep you going… -gives Marian a big hug-

I have to get all my hugs and cuddles in between now and Wednesday evening, because then I have to sterilize and I’m not allowed to have the cats on or around me after that.

Yes, she’ll be here as long as I need her, since she’s working from home just now. She can love on the kitties until I get the go-ahead.

We also have a crawl into things kid… It’s nice to know she may not grow out of it.
I sure hope those kitties are sweet to you through this treatment. I hope they make nice mews and soft biscuits and snuggle in for good naps.

I’M NOT ALLOWED TO SNUGGLE THEM UNTIL I HEAL! I ask you, how can a person heal without kitty snuggles? More shocking rules on Monday.

Tipper, you and Chickie need to plan on being extra good to Momma!
