Mansions, etc. #ThursdayDoors

Snappity snap snap snap! More driving doors!

I can’t tell if this house is white or pale yellow, but it’s a pretty house. Plus, there’s a Little Free Library out front! Oh, and that big red butt on the opposite side is a dragon. Damn car drove by and blocked the shot. There’s never a grenade launcher around when you need one.

White mansion coming up on the right.

Oh, yeah! That’s the stuff!

And how about a White Castle?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE White Castle hamburgers! When I was expecting, they were the only thing that settled my stomach. Weird, huh? As to how I’ll cope as a vegan, I’ve tried their Impossible sliders, and they actually taste more like hamburger than the regular ones.

Thursday doors is under the direction of Dan Antion, photographer extraordinaire and critter daddy. Visit his site, enjoy his wonderful photographs, follow his directions, and enter a world of doors.

You have one quick shutter finger. I’m glad you got two shots of the castle. I’ve always thought Thursday Doors photographers should have special privileges (maybe not weapons, but…).

I haven’t see a White Castle in a long time. Having those while you were pregnant might explain some things about your daughter ;-). I was surprised to learn that they have a vegan variety. Live long and prosper!

“Having those while you were pregnant might explain some things about your daughter ;-).” LOL! I don’t know that the Impossible slider is vegan, because I don’t know if there’s milk in the buns. If I don’t look at the ingredients, it’s vegan.

Sometimes I go and browse that area of New Albany myself, just to look at those beautiful houses with their windows and doors. Same with certain areas of Louisville.

I think someday when my truck is fixed, you and I should just go for a long drive, seeing houses and talking about Story and writing. Care to go out with a younger man? I won’t promise you White Castle, but I’m always up for Sonic, or other fare.

I rather expect a dragon would be a fine librarian; after all, treasure is in the eye of the beholder, and one hoard is quite as good as another so long as it satisfies hoarding needs.

Upon further consideration, sweet Jehosephat, am I a book-hoarding dragon?!? That would explain certain cantankerous elements, although so would a Wild Boar (the old man who lives in the forest, accosting travelers and telling long, dreary stories).

A wild bore! LOLOL! Yes, I would love to go driving with a younger man, talking stories and stalking doors. Sounds like a blast! And a fire-breathing dragon librarian might be problematic, but I bet there wouldn’t be many late returns.

The askew shots make me smile, Marian. The castle is quite nice indeed and we used to have White Castle periodically. I don’t think there are any in Arizona (at least I’ve never seen any) and who knew they had a faux burger. Seems as if everyone these days does. If not a grenade launcher, how about a tow truck that’s always there? 🙂
