Enter The Imaginarium. Next Year. #MondayRecommends #NailArt @ImaginariumCon

As of today (July 18, 2022) the dates for 2023 haven’t been posted on the website for the Imaginarium Creatives Convention, held annually in Louisville, Kentucky, but they’ll be around the second weekend in July, most likely. I’m tellin’ ya: If you can go, go. It’s not for writers of any one particular kind of thing, not for readers of any one particular thing. There are films, art, music, and books of every kind, from children’s to “edgy”.

People of all ages and all neurodiversity are welcome there, including the one precious young man who, as far as I could tell, spent the whole time walking up and down the halls listening to music through his earbuds.

Also: Per Bastet Publications (my publisher) throws a room party that can’t be beat.

Honestly, the first time you go, you’ll feel like you’re coming home. 2023 is the 10-year anniversary, so don’t miss that!

Highly recommended.

My nails this week are a tribute to the Webb space telescope images.

I did a fluid art on a plastic bag with Baroness X’s 90’s Blues fluid art polish, LA Colors’ Nuclear Energy, and SinfulColors’ Hazard. I painted all my nails with Maniology’s Celestial. When the fluid art was dry, I peeled it off the plastic bag, cut it into pieces, painted the nails I wanted it on with sticky base coat, and put the fluid art on, leaving some of the base polish showing. Then I stamped the stars with Maniology’s Bam! White. The plates were Maniology X Kelli Marissa BM-XL213 and Maniology MXM035.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Seeing deeply.

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

Nails look great – very good subject to call attention to. The convention sounds pretty cool.
