A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: An historic site, building, or attraction.

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

I love these doors, Marian. There’s something about a simple let’s-keep-the-weather-out door that makes me smile. I always enjoy going back to places my parents took me.

That was one of the joys of that trip: The treasure-hunting component. “I remember we went to this little museum on Pulteney Street….” or “Remember you used to play in that park a few blocks from the apartment? If we could find the apartment building, we might find the park….” And we did those things. The museums were great, but chasing down memories was even better!
