Tuesday Food: Crepes Times Two, Could be Vegan

One of the things I bought while I was on pain pills and binge watching Master Chef was an electric crepe maker. The crepe maker is electric, I mean, not the crepes.

So, when my wrists and fingers were strong enough, I made crepes.

Savory ones:

Stuffed and topped with creamed chicken, mushrooms, and onions.

And sweet ones for dessert:

Stuffed with cream cheese and topped with chocolate cherry preserves from the farmer’s market.

I used vegan cream cheese and vegan “milk”, and could have done without the chicken, but I had a bit, so I used it.

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

    My late sister-in-law worked for the Iowa Egg Counsel and gave us an electric omelet pan about 35 years ago. My wife uses that for crepes, and they come out perfect. Her crepes have eggs in them, so not so vegan, but…
