Thursday Doors: I Stayed At This Hotel?

This was back in the height of summer, but I’m just getting around to posting these. We stayed at this hotel for a creative writing / bookselling event.

First, a favorite genre of mine:

I never get tired of letter boxes. Especially metallic ones. Especially brass.

Er…. The door was boring, but the sign made me stop and snap.

I don’t like it that they sleep on the job, but I admire their honesty.

And possibly my favorite hotel door of all time anywhere:

FIR — In case of Christmas, break glass.

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

Fir is what you would see on the door of men’s toilets in Ireland. Mna for women. (Gaeilge)
So I’m looking at that little square door with Fir written on it, thinking, mm… that’s handy!
