My magnificent almost-a-son-in-law, the multi-talented Michael Ignacio, Jr., loaned us a movie to watch together. He watched it with Sara, and she knew I’d love it.

Kubo and the Two Strings

You may have noticed that the child, Kubo, has a patch over one eye. His father died keeping him from being totally blinded.

At a ceremony of remembrance, Kubo thanks his father for saving his eye. Then, sealing him into my heart forever, he says,

Two would have been ideal, but….

I bought my own copy.

    Oh I loved this! First really new storyline I’ve seen in an animation in ages. Will try to watch the whole movie. Thank you. 😀

      It’s a wonderful film. I haven’t teared up at a movie for a couple of years, but this one got me.
