A week from tomorrow is my next hand operation. The doctor is honestly great, and has tried to fix the problem with as little intrusion into my tissue as possible, but we’re both getting serious. She isn’t yet ready to adopt my prescription of pulling the pin on a grenade and holding it real tight, hence the operation. It made me think of this quote:

Yeah, I have to do my bit for the economy. Last year it was breast cancer. It’s like jury duty.
