Since before the turn of the century, people have been saying I should watch BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER. So I am.
I like it, although I got more of a kick out of it when they were in high school. My sense of humor is tickled by things like, “What’s going on?” “End of the world is coming.” “Oh. You going to fifth period?” “Nah, I thought I’d ditch it.” The blend of the familiarly banal with the outrageously supernatural was, I thought, perfectly balanced, and it takes a certain kind of genius to make the school Mean Girls as much to be dreaded as vampires.
I’m glad I took the recommendation, and I’m happy to pass it on. There is the occasional spider and, less often, a disembodied eyeball, so be warned.
My nails turned out to be beach-themed this week. I never know.
The base colors are blue and beige, topped with a blueish iridescent topper. The stamps are done in brown, beige, red, coral, and pale green.

September 16, 2024 at 8:37amI never thought I would be saying, “before the turn of the century” about my own life. When #1 Daughter told me her high school class was studying the 1960s in history, I was like “Shoot me now,” and THAT happened before the turn of the century.
