Thursday Doors: Upstairs

#ThursdayDoors #writingprompt

I was snowed in for a while during my haitus, so I took some pictures upstairs.

This is the door to the Invisible Kitty’s room. I can’t close it to keep the heat in that one room (the upstairs is closed off during the winter) because some fat bastard (Adi , of course it was Adi) opened the door before I closed the upstairs and Peanut the Invisible got out. Now I can only prop the door as far closed as I can while still leaving room for IK to come and go.

It’s propped shut with a toy she never plays with. Beyond, you can see her favorite toy, a couch.

Inside the room, I have an old sewing machine with a heated bed under it, blocked off with blankets to keep the heat in. Look closely and you can see the “door” she’s made by pushing aside the blanket so she can come and go.

This next picture isn’t a door, but it’s a window. You can hardly tell where the frost leaves off and the trees begin. Noice.

I like the picture of the window. It’s kinda abstract, and I like it. Caring for your cats certainly requires some fancy footwork.

I’m sorry I missed this. I copy the link and I’ll get it into next week’s recap post.

It’ll be interesting when the weather warms up and I open the upstairs so the warm air rises and sucks the cooler air from the basement up into the ground floor. I have a feeling the wet food I give Peanut but not the others will be up for grabs, and it may not be a pretty adjustment.
