For some reason — only God knows why — I decided canned artichoke hearts and toasted chickpeas would be good together.
They weren’t.
I put the leftovers in the fridge. My plan was to pretend I forgot them until they went over and I had to throw them away. Instead, I mixed in some vegan cream cheese and some garam masala.

THAT was GOOD! I ate every last bit of that.
Don’t forget that I write books and stories, and that I sell them for money. Here’s one:

SHIFTY: TALES FROM THE WORLD OF SAGE
Whether you’ve read Marian Allen’s SAGE trilogy (The Fall of Onagros, Bargain With Fate, Silver and Iron) or not, you can dive right into these stories set in the same world. Some feature settings and characters from the trilogy, some explore lands and people only hinted at in the novels, but all are filled with strong characters and fantasy. Per Bastet Publications invites you to savor this baker’s dozen of stories from the world of SAGE.nto these stories set in the same world.

February 24, 2026 at 1:32pmNice save on the artichokes and chickpeas (although, I would have tossed them).
I added your book to my TBR pile where, unlike in your fridge, it won’t go bad.
