Donuts and Darkness and Blogs. Oh, My!

Did you know I posted about baked apple donuts at Fatal Foodies today?

Did you know I’ve been given a One Lovely Blog Award by N. R. Williams?

Did you know I’m part of the Fall Fiction Frenzy at Dark Valentine Magazine? My story is a dark fantasy called “The Edge of the End”. Not sure which day in October it will appear, but read them all!

So now you know.

Nice prompt. Now you’ve got me wondering if a character could find a recipe for a despicable magical chant on the web by accident. [I’m a pessimist so the results would never be good though the character might find a way to triumph.]

By accident or deliberately. My short story “Seeking Shadow” had a character go looking for a white witchcraft “recipe” for finding her daughter’s lost cat. So why not have one turn up a bad one, unintentionally or on purpose? Or turn up a comment on a site that tells her somebody she knows is looking for one to use against HER? Good idea! Go for it!

Yuck, Marian, I thought I’ve fixed the link. Apparently not. Here it is again.

But to compensate for you to put up with me, I’m writing a short beginning here. You remeber Charlotte who married Mr. Collins in Pride and Prejudice…

Mrs. Charlotte Collins downloaded the cupcakes recipe from taste.com. She put a small piece of paper with the words “You will die!” inside the cake mixture. With a brilliant smile, she…
