Tim’s Fairy Tales Are No-Go. Rats! #FridayRecommends

Friday Recommends

Have you heard about Tim’s Vermeer? I have GOT to SEE that! It’s a Penn and Teller film–Yes, that Penn and Teller–about an inventor who set out to recreate a Vermeer painting, even though he, himself, is not a painter, using devices he believes Vermeer must have used. I love Vermeer, so this is right up my alley.

My Story A Day friend Katherine Beck sent me this next link. It’s to a site called Fairy Tales of the World. Oh, my, yes!

Meeka sent me to this article on Messy Nessy’s Cabinet of Chic Curiosities about something I never knew. Did you know there’s a big “no-go” zone in France that’s unlivable due to toxins and unexploded ordinance from World Wars I and II? Well, there is.

So I sent her to this site about Hero Rats, who detect landmines and tuberculosis. I love the little hero rats SO HARD!

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: What’s in that messy curio cabinet over there, eh?

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.
