Hi, there! I’m Tipper Allen, and guess what? I helped Momma AND Poppa this week!
Momma had a meeting where she gave a report on her pal Tony Acree‘s Hand of God series of spooky thriller books, about a bounty hunter who kills demons for God or sumpin like that. Like how Chickie and I kill mofs and beedals and stuff.
So she typed all the stuff she wanted to say, and I helped her.
Then I went down to the basement and helped Poppa. He has some boards that got warmped, so he put heavy stuff on them. I thought, “Every little bit helps,” so I helped.
Momma took these pictures, and I told her she could put them in my post, because she doesn’t know what this bird is and she knows some people know all about birds.
She was driving by the creek, and she saw this bluey-gray fing.
Then it landed and all folded up, and it looked like this:
She said she thinks it’s either a crane or a heron. She says she hopes it’s a crane, because her friend Dan Antion likes pictures of cranes.
Oh! Sumpin else: Chickie has been playing awful rough. She scratched my little pink nose!
I’m not mad at her, though. She didn’t mean to. I just wish she wouldn’t be so rough!
A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: Do you ever play too rough? Does anybody ever play too rough with you?

August 17, 2019 at 2:53pmI’d go with heron, but I love the way “Dan likes cranes” 😛 That gave me a LOL

August 17, 2019 at 10:41pmI do love cranes, but I think it’s a heron. I like them too. I love the picture of Tipper helping to straighten the boards.

August 18, 2019 at 6:17amOuchie! You poor thing. Chickie has to learn that claws are for prey, not friends! Btw, we have a visitor something like that bird. Over here it’s known as a heron, I think. The colouring on ours is a bit different though. Best of luck on the bird hunt. 🙂

August 18, 2019 at 7:38amEverybody here and on Facebook agrees it’s a heron. And you KNOW if you see it on Facebook it’s true right?
