Stay Safe And Keep Your Eye On the Ball #Fridays4Future #ClimateStrike

MIT’s Technology review has a good article this week: The unholy alliance of covid-19, nationalism, and climate change.

Among other things, it says:

The question, of course, is what happens as the pandemic recedes. In theory, this presents a new opportunity to get climate progress back on track. Stimulus packages designed to kick-start economic growth could include funding and policies to accelerate clean energy and climate adaptation projects, for example. The world will certainly be better equipped to face both pandemics and climate catastrophes if nations choose to more readily share resources, expertise, and information.

Bear that in mind, and let’s act accordingly. Our future still depends on it.

Yay !!! I can comment freely. Thank you.

I hope we can learn from this, but I have my doubts about the good old USA. During the crisis, we formally relaxed emission standard (against advice of auto makers)…SMH.

Amazing that it was against the advice of auto makers, since they fought stricter emission standards in the first place. But I’ve been SMH at my country since … oh, a long time ago. And you kids get off my lawn!

They’re worried that without tough federal guidelines, they’ll be subject to a mess of different guidelines from various states.
