Season 2 of Russian Doll just dropped on Netflix. We didn’t see how they could possibly follow Season 1, but they managed it. It’s so very strange, and so very rude, and so very funny.

So OF COURSE I put together a Russian Doll mani this week, mainly based on Season 1, since we’re watching one episode of Season 2 at a time, to make it last.

We have Krugerrands on the thumbnails, because they’re this season’s MacGuffin. Oatmeal, Nadya’s sometimes cat, is on the pinkie nails. Russian dolls are on my ring fingers. The numbers 36 and 39 are Nadya’s ages in Season 1 and Season 2, and, of course, my bird fingers say, “Fuck cancer”, because that’s what Nadya would say.

The gold is Born Pretty’s In Fire. The rest are Maniology polishes: The base color is Black Magick. The red is Fireside, the white is Bam! White, the yellow is Buttercup, and Oatmeal’s brown patches are Latte applied frugally with a Q-Tip. The Russian dolls come from Beauty Big Bang’s XL-049. The birthday numbers come from Maniology’s M042. Oatmeal comes from NicoleDiary’s 070, and the Fuck Cancer comes from Maniology’s M153.
