One-Liner Wednesday: A Stamping Plan

In a previous December, we were discussion what stamps we were going to put on our nails, and somebody — I’m sorry, but I honestly can’t remember who — picked up an Autumn-themed plate featuring acorns and deer and such and suggested:

Solstice, the Regular-Nosed Reindeer

I hope you know I meant that as a compliment. When I reread it (after pushing post, of course) I thought it might send the wrong message.

😀 It did sound pretty passive/aggressive, but I know you better than that by now. As my strangely Bible-read #4 Daughter once said when I misjudged her, “Balaam’s Ass, Mom.”

Balaam’s Ass refers to me. I was Balaam in my daughter’s case, and it taught me a lesson I’ve never forgotten. You know the story? It’s obscure, but now it’s one of my favorites. 🙂

I do know the story. I’ve been reminded of it at times for what seems like similar reasons. I think it’s a good story for people to consider.
