Bad Penny and Nail Art

My last update was back in April, when I told the tale of how I broke both wrists.

Since that update, I graduated to a small cast on the left arm and a brace on the right.

Then I graduated to two braces.

Then I was able to dress myself, so I could stop sitting around in my nightgown all the time. Bleh. I couldn’t even wear lounge britches, because it hurt too much to pull them down and up (snow, if you get my drift).

Finally, I was able to do my nails. What was my first theme?

BREAKING BAD — what else?

Here are my nails this week:

I was going to stamp with orange, to pull the color palatte together, but the orange wouldn’t stamp. I should have done the orange over with one of the colors I used on the other nails, but it was so sparkly! So sparkly!

Does anybody care what polishes/plates I use? If not, I won’t bother keeping track and typing it all out.

MomGoth is glad to be back. Didja miss me, my Sweet Little Baby Angels?

Did I miss you? YES!!!! I missed you!! I was so honored that you participated in the Thursday Doors Writing Challenge, and I’ve been looking forward to your return to blogging. I hope your wrists have healed well. I don’t care much about the specifics, but I like the descriptions, especially because I don’t always see the colors correctly.

I’ve been attempting to keep up with everybody else’s posts. I WAS on pain meds for a while, and Sara tells me my brain wasn’t working for a month or so, though.

Next week, I’ll see if I can tread the line between TMI and helpful descriptions. So good to read your comment!

You’ve been through a lot. I look forward to the resumption of normal posting as your condition permits.

I listen to the news. Two broken wrists ain’t nothing. But I AM back to cooking. I got back to it as soon as I realized I could lift with my arms and not my hands. Automatic can-opener, cooking veg first and THEN cutting them up when they’re soft…. Doable!

Those are great tips. I never thought about how hard using a can opener would be.

A lot of things were difficult/impossible that I never thought of. It was enlightening.

It’s lovely to see you blogging again, Marian. I sooo understand those difficulties, from my own experience. I know how trying a long recovery period is, but you’ll get there. Keep on keeping on.
Thanks for the writing prompt. I’ll see if I can use it for my next serial episode. Which of your books would you like me to feature?
    Hugs.

Breaking Bad is hilarious! Great thing for nails. Husband has watched TWICE (he spent 11 yers as a HIGH SCHOOL CHEMISTRY TEACHER – duh!). I think I’ve seen most of the episodes.

I watched it 1 1/2 times. I had to take a … break … because Walt is just so horrible! Not the violence, but the emotional manipulation.

YES! We missed you. 😀 Lovely to have you back and to see the evolution of your recovery. I haven’t painted my nails in decades, but it is fun looking at the weird and wacky designs you come up with. -massive hugs- Welcome back.

Thanks for the welcome! My therapist was very happy when I told her I could do my own nails. She said it was great therapy for small motor control and finger muscles.
