I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is. Marian Allen's Amazon profile

March 7, 2024 at 10:46amThe long-haired cat and I will have a better understanding of one another next time. And maybe I’ll clip her claws first.

March 4, 2024 at 8:43pmOh…OH! That looks more than nasty. Maybe get an antibiotic just to be on the safe side? Commiserations. I bathed a cat once. Actually it took 2 of us and we both ended up with lacerations from finger tips to elbows. I don’t mess with cats any more. 🙁

March 5, 2024 at 2:23pmIt was just four punctures, but they were bleeding and company was coming. I slopped rubbing alcohol on them and smeared on some antiseptic cream. Ah, I’ve given many a cat a bath. There was just one I never tried to tackle twice, and that was Sara’s black cat, Al (Alexander Russianpants) I could only bathe him if Sara held him.
