I can’t remember where I got the recommendation for this movie, but BAND OF ROBBERS is one I’m delighted to have seen. It’s an updated version — now, wait, hear me out — of TOM SAWYER with all the kids of the book as adults. What kind of man would — and what kind of man would BE ABLE TO — talk his friends into committing robbery in pursuit of a legendary treasure? What kind of men would go along with it? Considering what kind of men they would have to be, how great do you think their chances of succeeding would be?
