Monday Recommends and Nail Art: Glugs and Cats and Books

My chiropractor fired me, did I tell you that? He said that at this point we’re working with arthritis, and there’s nothing he can do about that.

I’ve got it all over, usually teensy minor, but my hands ache a lot. So a friend and fellow writer suggested arthritis compression gloves. She recommended Brace Master, and that’s what I bought.

Y’all…. Y’all…. They’re wonderful. It took me a bit to get used to typing with them on, but my hands feel so much better after wearing them for a while, it was worth the learning curve. Also, I have to take them off every time I see a man about a dog, because obviously, and as often as I see men about dogs, that’s A LOT, but again, worth it.

I sold books in Lagrange again this weekend (pictures of Lagrange doors on Thursday), so my nails are of books. Well cats and books, naturally.

As God is my witness, I put lotion on my hands before I took these pictures. I’m just ashy.

P.S. “Glugs” is what #4 Daughter called gloves when she was wee.

The compression glugs (I like that word) sound like a good idea. We have to learn to work around these issues, and arthritis demands some clever thought at times. Cool nails, and cats and books do go together well.

I got a two-pack and keep one in my office and one by the chair I sit in to play video games. God forbid I should stop playing Minecraft because my hands hurt!
