As for this week, I turned up spades, so I read a story from Daily Science Fiction:
The Endless Lives of Kama
by William Delman
A programmer develops a world model that really does foresee the future on a global scale. Yes, he uses it to become a multimillionaire. But he also finds himself in the place of a divinity, able to answer questions both trivial and monumental, both personal and global.
One question he cannot answer is whether he and the world would be better off if he shoots himself in his luxuriously appointed bathroom.
If you’re a Goth, there is no wrong answer. What will keep me thinking about this story is wondering which not-wrong answer he’ll choose.
