Duh. You eat chicken soup, duh!
We don’t have much meat in the house, since we don’t eat much, but I did have half an Amish-raised chicken’s breast going to Jesus in the freezer, so I got that out.
I forgot to use the mirepoix (mix of onion, celery, and carrot) that was in the freezer, which would have been an excellent addition. Was sick. Didn’t think.
ANYWAY, I had a bunch of portobello mushrooms that looked good, so I bunged ’em all in. I felt the need for some iron, so in went half a can of tiny peas. Onion powder, garlic powder, Penzys Fines Herbes. That chicken, cubed. A can of cream of chicken soup. Some water and chicken bouillon.
Meanwhile, I baked some frozen biscuits. I put the baked biscuits on top of the soup and covered it and turned off the heat and let the bread soak up that steam.

What do vegans and vegetarians eat when they have a cold?
I’m posting at Fatal Foodies today about a delicious vegan chili. Maybe that’s my answer.
A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Write about having a cold. Or about the cold.

November 7, 2019 at 1:35pmFeeling much better. Especially since I refused to get the flu shot before our October book sale events just in case I had a reaction. Now I’m afeared to get one, in case I do now that I’m finally getting over my cold/bronchitis!
