I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is. Marian Allen's Amazon profile

April 10, 2022 at 3:17pmWe’re so lucky: the 4th floor apartment we picked in our retirement community has cathedral ceilings (for which we paid extra, but which make the 4th floor apartments feel so much bigger) – AND the recycling/trash room is out the door and two steps across the hall, and composting is a few more steps to the elevator, down to the basement right to the bin. Plus our extra storage locker is across the hall a few steps the other way. And the sound insulation is excellent. Easy peasy.

April 10, 2022 at 1:04pmHaha – giving new meaning to boxing day. We can’t let ours pile up for more than two weeks. That’s when the recycle bin is picked up, and it doesn’t hold four week’s worth.

April 10, 2022 at 2:13pmWe don’t have recycling pickup; we have to haul it to the recycling center in the car. The car doesn’t hold four weeks’ worth, either, so I have many trips ahead of me.
