Tomorrow is my eleventy-seventh birthday. The Amazing Sara Marian will be at school until three in the morning, half an hour after she goes to bed, so she gave me my present early.
I opened it and read the instructions and played some solo rounds to get the hang of it, but I think we’ll end up altering it with our own rules and refinements. That’s how we do.
So my nails this week are inspired by one of my husband’s shirts and one of mine. His is plaid, with a red background and black lines and yellow lines. Mine is blue, with reddish and goldish curliques (which I translated into leaves in honor of the season).

September 25, 2023 at 9:59amBack in the day, I bought a Country Joe and the Fish LP that came with a game board and no rules. The “rules” said something like, “It’s your own damn game; make up your own damn rules.” I’ve lived by that wisdom ever since.

September 26, 2023 at 1:48pmI’m un73 today, if I understand your construction correctly. 😀 And, yes, I’m still playing Minecraft. I currently have a house high on a cliff, one cat, and three dogs. My house has a glass roof so I can see the stars and rain, and a deep basement so I can hide from thunderstorms. I have amethyst blocks all around the entrances, because amethyst blocks tinkle when anyone steps on them so nobody can sneak up on me. Of course, I play solo, so nobody can sneak up on me anyway, but cool is cool, am I right? Oh, and I have three beehives. 😀
