Senorita Peanut To The Rescue
Seniorita Peanut was a recluse of a certain age who lived alone with only one servant to tend to her needs. She lived only on the upper floor of her house, but would sometimes come down to the door.
Tipper Lord Snowbottom and Mademoiselle Chickie la Silk went to visit her to ask if she had any wise words to help them assist Lady Fluffington in her hour of need. They had to wait quite a long time for her to decide to come down to them, because she didn’t come when she was called, but only on her own whim.

When she did come down, she didn’t open the door, but agreed to speak to them through the crack. They took turns telling of Lady Fluffington’s sad decline, then Mademoiselle la Silk asked what they could do to help the distressed noblewoman.
“Tell her Senorita Peanut laughs at her misfortune. lafflafflaff. Tell her Senorita Peanut says Lady Fluffington got what she deserves for being a stuck-up snooty snot-bucket.”
Snowbottom and la Silk looked at one another with raised eyebrows. What had Lady Fluffington ever done to Senorita Peanut? The Senorita spoke with such bitterness, it was as if a cat had eaten another cat’s wet food once and the second cat had never gotten over it.
“Tell her Senorita Peanut,” the elder continued, “bets Lady Fluffington is too proud to do something like sing for money. In fact, Seriorita Peanut DARES her to try! Seniorita Peanut doesn’t think anybody would pay a piece of kibble to hear Lady Fluffington sing. So there!”
And, laughing, she ran back upstairs.

Snowbottom and la Silk went to the mouth of the alley where Adi, Lady Fluffington, was sleeping in a brown paper bag. They repeated Senorita Peanut’s statements in loud voices, telling one another they couldn’t possibly say such things to Lady Fluffington, but making certain she could hear all of it clearly.
Within a week, it was known that the former Lady was singing on the street and had made enough to rent a small room. Within a month, it was known she had a steady job singing in a low drinking den, then a new job singing in an upscale eating establishment, then had an agent and was singing professionally on the stage.
Before the year was out, she was the toast of the country and of the continent. She was invited everywhere, the key guest of any event she chose to attend.
After she did a command performance for the queen, herself, she sent Senorita Peanut a bag of kibble.
Senorita Peanut laughed and left it outside her door.
an dat’s all
