Loving #LaGrange, #Kentucky #MondayRecommends and #NailArt

This past Saturday was our first book sale event this year. Family reunion time for us and our writer family! A fine time was had by all.

Now, if you haven’t been to La Grange, check it out! A train runs right through the middle of town, which is the coolest thing ever, and I’m not a big fan of trains. Well, I like to look at them, but I don’t like to wait for them or ride on them. I don’t like to ride on boats, either, or on anything I can’t get off of whenever I want to. That’s the only reason why I’m not an astronaut. Uh-huh.

ANYWAY, my nails this week are book-themed, with a little cancer defiance thrown in for good measure.

The base coat is Sally Hansen’s In A Flash. The brown is Maniology’s Annato Clay. The black is Maniology’s Straight Up Black, and all the other colors are Maniology except for MoYou London’s Mesa Sunrise. The thumbnail says FIGHT. That’s from Maniology’s M153. The Egyptian cat (symbol for Per Bastet Publications) is from MoYou London’s Explorer Collection – 17. The hearts background is from Maniology’s M013, and the books are from Maniology’s PolishedJess M057.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: A train and books.

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

I love trains! I love riding on them and I even love waiting for them (if Iā€™m close to the front of the line).

Nice nails, I hope the book sale was fun and successful.

We didn’t sell many books, but we had a blast reuniting with our event friends, so we counted it successful. šŸ™‚

A roomful of friends and books — It would only have been better if there had been kittens.

I’ll wave a fond farewell to you and Dan. I wouldn’t mind a short train ride, but if I had to do an overnight again, I would want a compartment with beds in, or at least a bunk in the corridor. Trying to sleep in a seat is for the little blue birdies. And Sally Hansen passed in the early sixties, but her name and product live on.
